Installation notes

  1. Nail item 3 to the inside of the formwork through its two fixing holes, plate face against the shuttering, before the pour.
  2. Weld item 5 to the stem end with an exothermic weld (item 4) before fixing the rebar cage in its final position.
  3. Run item 5 along the nearest bar and fix it with the U-bolt clamp (item 6). Keep full concrete cover over all internal parts.
  4. Protect the threaded bore from concrete during the pour, then strip the formwork. The plate face stays flush with the wall.
  5. Bolt lug 8 to the bore with item 7, and the second lug to hole 1 of the earth bar with item 11. Holes 2–4 stay free for further bonds.
  6. Measure continuity between the earth bar and the reinforcement with a low-resistance ohmmeter and record the value.
